Silver Bullet's Ranger® Software Now Available for CTS LS Series Check
Scanners
Banks to take advantage of affordable small footprint capture device for branch and remote capture applications
PENSACOLA, FL., August 9, 2006 - Silver Bullet Technology, Inc. announced today that its Ranger® Transport API
product is now available for the CTS LS series check readers and scanners. This solution provides banks a new
dimension for branch and remote capture applications, enabling a proven and affordable check scanner solution for
lower volume capture sites.
The LS series scanners are designed for teller station and remote deposit capture applications. The LS 100 and
LS515HS are capable of reading MICR CMC7/E13B or OCR code lines and scan both sides of the document at up to 52 and 120
documents per minute respectively. Options include multiple document feeders, high-resolution ink-jet printers
working on the back side of the document and self-inking front or rear stamp, as well as magnetic badge readers.
"Although our LS scanners are already integrated with most of the major branch and remote deposit capture
applications," said Alex Trombetta, vice president of sales and business development for CTS North America, "the
availability of Ranger will open up our market to work with integrators and financial institutions that by choice
use a standard application programmer interface. Our customers will also benefit from the additional tools now
available from Silver Bullet."
"Bankers need flexibility in implementing their Check 21 capture solutions," said Rick Schwab, director of sales
for Silver Bullet. "Ranger allows them to mix and match hardware and software solutions to best fit the diverse
range of check volumes processed at teller or remote capture sites. Ranger is combined with FSTC/ANSI compliant
Image Quality Assurance to ensure that only high quality images are processed."
Silver Bullet's Ranger software allows customers to use virtually any item-processing software with virtually
any check-scanning hardware. The inclusion of CTS's product allows banks to incorporate this small footprint,
attractively priced scanner without replacing their current software solutions.
