New Image Co., Ltd. Selects Silver Bullet's Ranger®
As Check Scanner Portability Strategy
PENSACOLA, FL, March 6, 2007 - Taipei, Taiwan-based New Image Co., Ltd. has selected Silver Bullet's
Ranger® API as the portability strategy for its NewImage Check Processing System. This system has two
parts: NewImage Inward Check Processing Subsystem, which includes processes such as teller check
collections, centralized keying, and exception handling, and NewImage Outward Check Processing System,
which includes processes such as check image scanning, automatic and manual seal verification, and
rebound processing.
Ranger is an industry-standard software tool designed to allow item processing applications to run
unchanged on a wide variety of check scanner types manufactured by Addmaster, BancTec, Canon, CTS,
Digital Check, Epson, Kodak, MagTek, Maverick, NCR, Panini, RDM, Seac Banche and Unisys. Software
developers enjoy the benefits of a single check scanner interface and the freedom to mix and match
check scanner types.
"We are pleased to partner with New Image in providing Ranger to add value to their NewImage Check
Processing System," said Rick Schwab, director of sales for Silver Bullet. "By using the Ranger API,
they can expand scanner options to their customers and speed new versions of their solution to market."
